Revolutionary New Method to Learn Spanish Without Books, Cassettes ...

Why do so many people try to learn to speak Spanish quickly but fail? Why do so many try to understand and study Spanish but cannot speak it themselves? Most people fail to learn Spanish quickly simply because they've never made a Spanish language course a long-term learning habit; they don't have the discipline or the opportunity to practice Spanish phrases enough, they don't persevere and they don't think learning Spanish is fun. After all, most of us associate learning a language with school, tests, homework, books, CDs, a schedule of classes to keep and an instructor to stand over us and grade us on grammar, pronunciation, syntax and vocabulary.

Marbella, Malaga, Spain (PRWeb) March 30, 2007 -- A revolutionary method to study Spanish online has just been launched. Daily Spanish Phrases is the only Spanish online course on the Internet that teaches you colloquial Spanish without having to listen to CDs or buy books.

Koolanoo: Myspace-style Jewish space

VIDEO - A good-looking girl in a bikini, wearing a gold Magen David around her neck, dives into a swimming pool and, oops, loses her bikini top.

This has become a standard formula in advertisements, but in this case, it has an original ending.

When she comes back up, a young man who is also wearing a Magen David chain covers her breasts. All of the guys sitting by the pool, who were ogling her just moments before, turn away in an "oy vey" gesture.

Ensembles for the soul

EVE and Don Cohen spent last week gearing up for the 20th annual all-day party at their Cheviot Hills home. The preparations meant scheduling more than 80 amateur chamber musicians to play in five rooms Saturday — changing partners every 45 minutes plus grazing on a potluck dinner, sampling wines and watching a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta unfold in the backyard, complete with live orchestra.

"We thought Hindemith — instead of Brahms or Beethoven — would drive them away, but when we scheduled him as the composer a few years back, even more came," says Eve Cohen, who tried composers Bohuslav Martinu and Grazyna Bacewicz this year but cooked for 100 guests nonetheless.

Public library to host poetry workshop

Today and Saturday, the Morgantown Public library will host a poetry slam and workshop in celebration of National Poetry Month. The event is designed specifically for teenagers who are looking for a place to share their creative talent and receive some valuable advice. Tamara Woods, a local poet and librarian, will be on hand to offer inspiration and feedback to all curious, young writers who wish to take part in the events. ''On Thursday, I'll be showing the kids different types of poems that they can write,'' Woods said. ''We'll do some group poems like 'tag poetry,' where one person writes something, then the next person writes something on it,'' Woodssaid. ''It's definitely a chance to learn about the different forms of poetry.'' Saturday's ''Slam'' will give participants a chance to read their work out loud in front of an audience.
